Martina Alagna is a lighting and experiential designer whose work lives at the intersection of art, architecture and storytelling. Graduating in Visual and Performing Arts from the Academy of Fine Arts in Italy, she began her career in theatre lighting across Asia and Australia, where she discovered the emotional power of light.

After completing a Master’s in Lighting Design and LED Technology at Politecnico di Milano, she transitioned into architectural lighting, joining the award-winning consultancy Nulty+ in London.

Over the past decade, Martina has designed for hospitality, commercial, residential, public realm projects and light festivals across UK, Europe and the Middle East. Her approach combines artistic sensitivity with a deep understanding of human experience, creating immersive narratives through light. In 2020, she was recognised with the 40 Under 40 Lighting Design Award, celebrating her contribution to the field.

After more than ten years in international studios and corporate manufacturing, she founded MAD Creative Studio, a space to explore lighting as both an artistic language and a tool for human connection.
